Vice Chancellor for Academic Personnel Michael S. Levine and Vice Chancellor for Research and Creative Activities Roger M. Wakimoto sent reminders to all eligible faculty members to use the UC Outside Activity Tracking System (OATS.) Outside activities performed by faculty requires prior approval and must be reported through OATS. General campus faculty and other academic appointees are subject to Academic Personnel Manual (APM) 025 and faculty members who are participants in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan are subject to Academic Personnel Manual (APM) 671. Full lists of qualified faculty members and activities that would constitute a conflict of commitment are included in the BruinPosts below.

All eligible faculty are required to report their outside activities in UC OATS and certify their activities for fiscal year 2024-25 (July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025) by September 30, 2025.
